Dreams are wonderful because they are our very own.
While I painted this wide awake, it's overall ambiance is definitely a dream state. I've been fiddling around with colors, trying to go outside of my comfort zone. Not only "trying", but definitely getting there (good or bad...). I'm finding more and more of a departure from painting the scene in front of me too. While I work, my attention is pulled away from my reference and sucked inside to focus on practicing balance in color, contrast, design, harmony, movement... And so this painting actually is a dream.
